Bird Data 1415

Bird Data consolidates the field guides for Colombia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Bolivia, Brazil and Guyana (including Suriname and French Guiana) into a single application, aligning with platform guidelines.

The user interface and the resource usage profile of the previous standalone guides remains consistent in this consolidated release.

• For each country, the guide provides scientific information and distribution maps focused on that country for all species.
• Photos and sounds are available for most species.
• Media can be downloaded either individually or in bulk.
• Bird species can be navigated by taxonomy or by native language (English, Spanish or Portuguese).
• The taxonomy follows the IOC standard.
• A map feature ties into the eBird Hot Spot and sighting database, allowing users to see where species have been observed recently or to explore sightings at nearby locations.
• A built-in sound recorder enables field recordings for later identification or note-taking.
